New monitpr slowing computer down

Greetings,

I have to monitors and my older one died so I got a new one. Same make, much wider. Since adding it my computer is very slow and video play on the new monitor is choppy. Computer ran fine with 2 monitors before. Graphics card is decent (GTS 450). Computer has 3gb memory. Any ideas?

What are the resolutions of the monitors?

If it's increased (new), then yes, performance should be slower since there's more pixels to render with.

Higher Rez and slow system is what is causing it.
