Since my desk now sits in the corner opposite of the main TV, it's somewhat difficult to actively watch TV while still gaming. So I was thinking about getting a small TV to put on my desk (would still need to route cables from the main TV since that's where the cable box is). I currently have 2 monitors on my desk already, but noticed this TV also had PC inputs, which would let me upgrade my secondary monitor while also added a TV and not adding to used desk space. Anyone use a TV like this as a dual use TV/monitor or any comments on this model?

Practically any decent HDTV you buy now-a-days will come with DVI. Most high end video cards will have HDMI ports as well. Do you really need a tv tuner in it? Do you have cable or satellite? Why not just get a regular LCD monitor or just get a HDTV that has DVI. Yes there are tons of people who PC game on their HDTV's. It doesn't even need to warrant a question. It seems like they are trying to charge more as a "dual use" thing.

I was mainly looking at getting a new TV, then while thinking where I'd place it, I noticed the Dsub inputs on this one and thought space wouldn't be a concern if it could replace the secondary monitor on my desk.

Really, wow. Maybe that would be a good reason then for someone to ask how well a pc displays on a tv monito for gaming.

Just saw a thread over on AV123 similar to this the other day.

Mentioned the HDHomeRun which I found interesting but I'm not sure you'll need anything more than a splitter.

Perhaps there is some useful info in that thread.

My 52" tv can display pc fairly well, however it is very difficult to play properly (due to viewing distance, height, need for wireless kb/mouse) it works better for games such as sports games (where the mouse is not really required)
I typically don't use the TV

Furthermore

I have two 20WMGX2's (PC Monitor/TV) on my desk. Both are hooked to the PC via DVI + Analog.
And then my PS3 is hooked to the second monitor via DVI so I can play PS3 there. Using HDMI -> DVI cable for my PS3 is perfect to use the monitor + scaling isn't bad

The one you linked would likely suit fine for both PC and TV tasks.
