What is a really good IPS PC Monitor ? I currently have a 20 inch NEC Multisync 20WMGX2 monitor and want something just as good if not better please. Thanks.

Looking at 24 inch I guess. Is that a worthy upgrade?

If you're going to upgrade why get a little monitor to replace it?

If he goes any bigger than 24 he needs a high res or 4K one to have decent image quality which means it will be at least double in price. 23 or 24 inches is fine for most people and will seem huge coming from a 20.

I find I can't tell the difference between 720p and 1080p on a 25 inch monitor. (I'm currently using an HP 25xi although I saw a Youtube video that shows a PLS monitor has richer colors than an IPS).

You should get what you feel best suits your needs since you're paying for it and have to live with it.

It might be useful if you can walk into a BestBuy or some other store to see. I saw some odd differences between monitors years ago when I made comparisons.

I like my Dell U2412M, can usually be had around $250. What do you plan on doing with the monitor?

I like the HP 30" line, as well as the dell equivalents.

Although people's comments can be subjective, I read someone said a large monitor like 27 inches reveals flaws in high definition videos. And gaming isn't the same. I find 25 inches is enough. (Or, you can save money sometimes with a 24 inch.)

EDIT: I just noticed for those wondering, I've seen the HP 25xi on clearance but now amazon has the 25xw since February, 2015. I'm assuming that's the new model (not 4K yet).
