New monitor suggestions

So, I'm in the process of making a decision on replacing my monitors. I currently have 3 Dell Ultrasharp monitors (U2410 flanked by U2412s) on an Ergotech stand. I've ordered the telescoping wings to expand the stand to accommodate three 27" monitors. I thought that what I will probably do is initially order a new center monitor and then add the wing monitors a little later. My system is used mostly for work but for quite a bit of gaming too, so I'd like a monitor with high refresh rate but good display quality as well.

Here is what I would like to see:

1. 27" and VESA mount compatible are firm requirements at this time.
2. High refresh rate - 144 Hz minimum. Gsync is preferable.
3. 2560 x 1440 resolution minimum.
4. DisplayPort is a must (I'm sure that goes without saying, but I don't want to have to use HDMI for high refresh rates as some monitors apparently require).
5. No more than $700 per monitor, which rules the new 4K high refresh rate monitors out. If people seriously think we'll see the 4K high refresh rate monitors at the $700-$800 price tag in a year, I might rethink my stance of replacing all three monitors and just wait a little longer to replace all of them, but I think I still want to replace at least my center monitor at this time and then I can move it down to another system later.
6. Panel: I have always purchased IPS panels. Unless someone can convince me otherwise, I'd like to stick with IPS if possible.
7. Must be able to be purchased on Amazon, preferably with Prime for easy returns and to increase my credit card rewards. Yes, I know Newegg would likely be cheaper, but I'm not messing with their return policy in the event I don't like the monitor.

I know both Asus and Acer have monitors that meet these requirements, but I have a hard time trusting Acer for my main monitor. Am I wrong here? Gigabyte has a monitor that checks all the boxes except, I believe, VESA mounting, so that rules them out and even if that's not the case, can I trust a Gigabyte monitor? I know Dell has some monitors which meet my specs except one point - I think their 27" gaming monitor is TN and I'd prefer to avoid TN. Does Dell have a 27" IPS monitor with 144 Hz refresh and 1440p resolution that I've missed?

Thoughts? I don't know much about LG monitors so maybe they have something too.

The new Nano IPS from LG would be my suggestion. It's not G-sync but it IS certified G-sync compatible, so it will work with G-sync without any artifacts or obvious issues.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07TD94TQF

However, the initial batch sold out VERY quickly and looks like it'll be a while for more, B&H photo says they expect more in mid October. Amazon has no date given for availability.

Should only be $499 though, a fair bit below your $700 cut off.

I see TFT Central will have a review up Monday 8/19 for that LG. https://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/lg_27gl850.htm

Yeah, I can’t wait to see it because I think this monitor checks all my boxes. I’m willing to wait a couple of months to get it if the reviews confirm my suspicion. Of the user reviews I’ve read, the only complaint I saw was someone saying the monitor wasn’t as bright as he wanted. However, comparing the specs of the LG to my existing Dell monitors, it falls right in the middle between the 2412 and 2410 in terms of brightness so I think I’ll be fine.

Good to see it came back into stock so quickly.

Yeah, I put a stock alert on it and received 4 alerts from Amazon that it was in stock - on at least two of those alerts, I logged in within 15-20 minutes and they were sold out. I thought the stock alerts were bogus but I got one last night while I was gaming and they were actually in stock so I ordered as fast as I could. They're gone now, though.

Yeah, looks like they'll still be difficult for people to grab these panels for a while unless you're using stock alerts as you did.

I got my LG 27GL850 monitor yesterday (Amazon delivers on Labor Day!) and have a few thoughts after playing a few rounds of PUBG as a test, coming from my non-professional eyes:

Pros:
1. Colors are bright and vivid. I had seen complaints of the brightness of this monitor but I had to turn the brightness down to 60-70% because the whites were just too bright and since I use this as my main work monitor as well, I thought my eyes were going to melt.
2. Games are smooth and silky, but we all expected that so no surprises there.
3. The bezel is very slim so physically, it isn't that much larger than my 24" U2412 flanking monitors.
4. The nVidia driver immediately recognized the monitor as G-Sync compatible with no issues, even though I haven't loaded any monitor driver (LG said one would be available on their site, but one isn't available yet).

Cons:
1. The monitor control panel is accessed via a small joystick on the bottom of the front of the monitor. The one thing I don't like is that the power LED is situated in that same area (the stick might even be the LED) and it seems to turn off once you're up and running. Otherwise, control options seem very thorough and nice.
2. A very minor complaint - the monitor comes with an external power brick which uses a mickey mouse connector for the power cord. I wish they would've stuck with the standard power cord so I could've reused my existing power cord and wouldn't have had to fish it under my crowded desk. :) Had I known in advance, I would've just ordered the adapter to adapt the standard power cord to mickey mouse.

Neutral:
1. There does seem to be a fair amount of backlight bleed, but for the most part, blacks seem pretty dark and I think I'm happy so far.
2. I didn't use the included stand, so I can't comment on that. I've got this mounted in the middle of an Ergotech 3 monitor stand.

I had stated in my OP that my plan was to buy the central monitor first and then eventually replace the flanking monitors, but I think I'm going to hold off on that plan. I really don't do any gaming which spans multiple monitors so if I do decide the replace the U2412s at some point, I'll probably just go with more conventional IPS 27" monitors unless the price difference is small. Overall though, I'm very pleased so far.

Cool.

How much was it?
