New monitor help

I am considering an upgrade from a 22" SyncMaster T220 to this;

Iiyama 23" X2377HDS-B1 - LED - 5ms - DVI HDMI

A 23' IPS monitor. I dont think I can justify the extra inch, but would the bump in resolution and better tech make it more worth while? Anyone have a similar upgrade?

The T220 will replace a weird 19" wide-screen monitor as my second monitor for general use while I game on the main one.

For the same price, Iiyama have 24' monitors but not IPS.

The screen will actually be shorter on a 23" 1920x1080 monitor vs. the T220 @1680x1050. Probably by a half inch - although the width will be greater on the Iiyama. That said, color and image quality should be better with the IPS, although I can't find a review on that one.

I went from a 22" 1680x1050 HP TN monitor to a 24" 1920x1200 Dell IPS monitor this summer. Absolutely worth it. Being both are 16:10 aspect ratios I gained more screen real estate all the way around.

After a bit more research, its down to IPS v 120Hz. I was looking for both but for a 24' they are super expensive.

If, for the purpose of gaming only, would IPS or 120Hz serve me better?

Been looking up those cheap Korean montiors and its started to give me a massive headache. So many different brands but of the same thing of varying prices. Seen the same model but a 300 euro price difference between two recommended e-bay retailers.

Going for the 2703 Catleap. Its 253 euro free shipping. If anyone knows anything they think I should know please let me know. I don't want to end up getting burnt or miss out on something better for just a bit more cash. For the same price I can get the Achieva Shimian QH270-IPSBS QHD.

I just got in a 27" Shimian Achieva that replaces a 4 year old Dell 22" 1680 x 1050. It was the cheapest Shimian on ebay at the time, and the smartest upgrade I have made to my work computer. I thought an SSD was, but no, this Korean IPS monitor beats that. I think any of the Korean monitors will be fine, just make sure you have a dual link DVI video out and you are good to go.
