New Monitor and Refresh Rates

Got a new 19inch viewsonic which i am running at 1280x1024. When i try to take the refresh higher than 75hz it allows it but the monitor still reports it is 75 hz while contral panel says 100hz. Any ideas here

Make sure the monitor driver is properly installed.
