My monitor is starting to give out. I'm going to need a new one by the end of the year, maybe by the end of the month.

What should I be looking for in a new monitor?

Resolution: either 1680x1050 or 1920x1080. ~22"

Usage: office/productivity, some games, movies.

Budget: ~$150-200

Why is everyone still shying away from 120hz? It OWNS 60hz HARD. If you're going to game on it, drop the 60hz...

Mainly because he said office/productivity work. Yes 120hz may be great for games, but the panel's themselves don't have good color reproduction which is a major turn off for most people. Also, price premium on a 120hz lcd may not be worth it for the amount of gaming he is going to be doing.
