Ive been asking around for advice for a new monitor lately. I am going to purchase around christmas time. My price range is $300-350, $350 being max. I am a heavy gamer looking for at least 12ms response time 19" black. Heres what I have been looking at:

I know Viewsonic VP191B is out of my price range but that is a killer price. Its open box but not refurb so i might cough up more cash for that. Any one have a better suggestion?

Edit: DVI is also a must

Wait for the price of the VP191B to fall in to your price bracket more. I'm sure it's only a matter of time. By Christmas it should be lower. IMO it's too early to decide though because new models will come out, things will get cheaper, etc.

The VP191B is expensive right now partly because it's no longer being made, replaced by this. That is a good price though, but you never really know what you're getting with open box.

For gaming, I'd go with this.

picture quality is something i care about alot and the VX924 seems to sacrifice that for ultra fast response time. I dont need 3ms or 6ms response as my eye will never tell the difference. I think ill wait for the VP930b to become cheaper (hopefully during christmas). Thank you for clearing up that the VP191b is no longer in production. Thx for your help guys.
