I have uverse modem, have netgear gigabit switch, have 3 pc's (ethernet or wifi doesnt matter) a NAS, and a nvr (hikvision with 4 poe camera).
So like usual i am overwhelmed with what i should buy and how should route the cables for best bw for all connections. . Grab 16 port gigabit switch managed (no clue really what all the diff needed services) and a new dd-wrt2300 linksys router plug them all in and throw away old 8port? (seems like need more than 8 ports but unsure if even need to use the poe switch or if the nvr will provide poe.
Any help appreciated. sub 200$ parts would be nice (less than 200 for router 200 for switch)
