This is the second new retail board in a row that I've ordered from Newegg that already had the time and date set, although it was set to east coast time and I am in a central time zone. The first was an Abit about a month ago and this one is an ASUS. Anyone else have this happen? I have read some posts about Newegg selling reurns which is old news. I could see one slipping through but this is 2 in a row. Is this a new standard or what?

FWIW, A Biostar MB I bought last month from Newegg came with the date and time set (to another time zone).

With manufacturers that don't ship the boards in "CMOS Clear" jumper setting (like ECS/PC-Chips do), the clock is often set, quite obviously for the time zone the board was made in.
