New Mobo troubles

I just got my new mobo today and after installing it, i decided to test if it was working. As of know, i dont have a video card. I jsut wanted to see if the things would start up. All the fans started spinning, and the leds went on. But, usually, theres suppose to be a Beep to say that the system is ok. But, i didnt get one. also, shouldnt there be a continuous beep or something since i dont have the graphics card in? also, im using a 20-pin psu on a 24-pin mobo. but, i heard the msi kn8/sli had compatiblilty with both. so, any help would be appricaited. just hope it isnt a faulty mobo.
 
My motherboard doesn't beep when I try to boot w/o a graphics card (MSI Neo4 Platinum)... Wait til you get yours, then try and turn it on.
