New Mobo problems Please a little advice

Its a Abit AI7
P4 2.8C (now clocked to 3.2)
512mb Giel PC 4000
Thermaltake Spark 7+



Now i got a problem i was using the machine last night and all of the suden it switched off. Now when i try to turn it on the fans shake but no power to the system. I pulled all of drives and the ram and still no dice on powering up. Is it the psu or could i have cooked the proc??

I would unplug the power supply, and remove the motherboard battery for a few seconds to reset the bios. I had exactly the same thing happen to me. Tried a different power supply, and remounting the board, but ended up sending my board back to msi. Abit has direct rma support available, but your vender may be able to get you a new board faster. P4's are pretty tough, and shutdown when they reach 80 celcius. Only way to fry them is by setting the cpu voltage too high.
