Hi group.
Really simple yet strange problem.

Built another new pc for someone. Mobo (new, never installed) is a MSI MS-6714 (the link for someone reason now isn't working)
http://www.msi.com.tw/program/products/mainboard/mbd/pro_mbd_detail.php?UID=369

Anyways, even using this broadband (Comcast) connection in the new machine, XP Pro (fresh install) it just cant find a LAN connection. Bottom right icon crossed out "No network found"

Any guesses as to why? Do I need to install a driver for the onboard LAN?

Thank you very much for taking the time to read.
(If its not minded, I'm posting this in both the motherboard and network sections)

Is the NIC listed in device manager, or is there a yellow question mark with 'Ethernet Device' listed? If the latter, yes you need to install a NIC driver.
