Hi all,
I shorted out my mobo a few days ago
maybe for the best coz it was an old 1.8 ghz ibm williamette cpu . so i've been doing some shopping to build myself a new system. so far i've got :
pentium 4 "prescott" 3.0e 800mhz fsb, ht,1mb l2 cache
xfx 6600gt graphics
antec 3700 case
monitor, cd drives, fdd, hdd from previous setup
128mb 266 ddr sdram- ibm
512mb 266 ddr sdram - hynix
antec trupower 330 w psu
my question pertains to the motherboard for this setup. i was going to get asus p4p800 se but i heard about some stability problems with that board for prescott with random reboots and freezes. so i'm confused abt wat board to get.
what is the feedback about the asus board and will it work without a prob? or else which is the best and most stable 865 pe board to get for the 478 pin prescott?
