So I had my mobo picked out for a new build, the IP-35 Pro to go w/ my Q6600.
But then the 8800GT came out and now I have a decision to make.
I will be running 3 monitors (30" Gateway XHD3000 and dual Dell 2001FP's), so obviously I will need 2 video cards. I am going to use my current 7900GT for the 2 Dell's and was going to go w/ a single 8800GTX to run the 30".
But now that the 8800GT's have come out and done so well in benchmarks, I am wondering if 3 PCI express slots would be a better choice?
So my questions are these:
1) Stick w/ the IP-35 Pro mobo or choose a mobo w/ 3 PCI express slots? If the 3 PCI express slots, any suggestions?
2) Stick w/ the original plan and get a 8800GTX or get a single or dual 8800GT? Obviously this would depend on question #1.
Any other ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
(x-posting w/ video forum as well.)
