Hi, my computer right now is:
P4 2.8c ( bus 800 ) running always at 3.150
2x 512DDR400
ASUS P4P800 S ( i848 )
Asus X800 PRO non VIVO
AUDIGY 2 ZS
Pinneacle Studio DV
2 x Seagate 120GB Ata100 2mb
DVDRW Plextor 16x
DVD Plextor
LCD Flatron LG 1730s ( 12 ms )
etc, etc, etc...,
I do a lot of gaming ( obvious - X800
), but i also do a lot of dv to dvd stuff ( still an amateur ), and by the end of the month i'm buying my self something new for my pc. Right now i dont have any trouble playing everything with anti-aliasing and anisotropic at 1280x1024 , so having low frame rates isn´t a issue. But i keep hearing you guys talking about the A64 this and that so i have a simple question: is it really worth it to change my board and processor from my intel to an ASUS K8 Deluxe and an Athlon 64 ( socket 939 ) @ 3.2 ???? , i know that my games will run faster , but is it necessary???? ( I have 4700 +/- in 3dMark 2005 ), and i take about 3 minutes to reencode a dvd movie from 8 gb to 4 gb ( gotta love DVDshrink ) without deep analysis, does the atlhon beat this??
Thanks in advance.
PS- Dont even talk about WINXP 64Bits, cause i want an upgrade now and i wonna see results now and not in a couple of month's.
