Im getting the beeps from hell from my new mobile.... any suggestions? Ive already removed the memory. I also, removed the cpu, cleaned the grease off of it and tried again.... beeps.... help!

Are the header wires from the front bezel to the mobo hooked up right? CPU fan hooked up to the mobo?

I guess so. How would that affect it? Power on is power on... that is the only one that could change anything. And it would just default on.

Now i am getting a siren type of sound.... hmmm. Wondering if the chip is bad. I pull the chip and the mobo is fine.... no beeps or anything... not even telling me I dont have a cpu in there... any tips?

One beep - board is working fine

One long beep then machine shuts down - faulty, improperly installed or missing CPU

1 short(Beep) System booting is normally

2 short(Beep) CMOS setting error

1 long - 1 short(Beep) DRAM ERROR

1 long - 2 short(Beep) Display card or monitor connected error

1 long - 3 short(Beep) Keyboard Error

1 long - 9 short(Beep) ROM Error

Long(Beep) continuous DRAM isn't inserted correctly

Short(Beep) continuous POWER supply has a problem

A two-tone siren, generally caused by overheating or out of specification voltages

yea its just siting on top of it not even clipped on. Just sitting there to make sure the cpu is ok. I booted it up the first time and got the cpu beeps. Then after pulling the battery, and resetting cmos now its a siren. WTF?

I probably wont buy another mobile.... any suggestions for getting a cpu that aint locked... preferably a monster overclocker... barton wise?

mobile bartons are monster overclockers and are unlocked - nothing else like them.. So you said you had the heatsink on not clipped on the socket??? no wonder it's beeping - it's overheating! and you fried the thing too if it doesnt post anymore..
