I had a Canon ZR70MC, which was lost/stolen (still trying to determine) and am considering getting a Canon ZR-500 so I can make movies over this coming Christmas. I have Pinnacle Studio 9, which has worked well enough with my ZR70MC.
My question is this. If I buy the ZR-500 and end up needing to keep it, will it work with Pinnacle Studio 9? I'm sure it's not on the listed of supported camcorders, but should any old Mini-DV cam work with the software as long as it is recognized by WinXP? Just wondering because if I had to buy new software too, I might just buy a used ZR70MC since I know it works. Thanks in advance for any help.
