Hey guys, I took my HSF off my 9800pro and it looks too cool to throw away. Logistically serving no purpose, it can still work if attached to a PSU.

I was just curious as to if it can be attached to a AA battery but i have my doubts.
a power supply gives 12V or 5V depending on the speed of the fan but a AA gives 1.5.
Maybe a 9V battery?

thanks

put your aa batteries in a series. 4 recharageables will give 4.8V in a series and 8 alkaline will give 12V in a series circuit(seires means end on end). Hell, yuo mught as well use a car battery. 12.4V to 11.8V variation between fully charged and fully discharged and something like 600A so yuo wont run out of power for a while.

as for 1 aa battery, it will probably work, it'll just spin very slow.
