well it is

it reminds me of a japanese car, like a civic or something from the back....horrible. the fronts not too bad, but the bangle guy just seems to ****** up all the rears on the BM's latest cars

(5 and 6 series dont look too bad though)
 
G wagon = Meh++

3 coupe Nice, saloon, backend is nobby
5 = nice
6 = Nasty dope'd up eyeballs with a fat victorian bustle at the back.

These are two different companies, no?

As for the new G Class, I agree with the OP. It's just an oridinary SUV now...I would have given it a new letter so as not to confuse it with its bruiser of a father

That is total sadness, and I'm serious as well. I was hoping to be able to buy the G55 AMG someday. Now I'll have to buy some plasticified G+M cross. 😛uke;

On the upside though, it is supposed to have 7 seats for the European market, don't know about the US market.
 
The G is not going away for at least 4 years. The GL was going to replace it but will not for now. It has 7 seats for the US market.
 
Yep, "just another SUV". The old G-class looked like something the Russian mafia would use... It had spunk and originality... Sad, really sad.
