I'm referring to this thread: http://forums.anandtech.com/me...id=51&threadid=2081425

He asked a pretty simple question, I responded with a question or two to help me understand his requirements, and a simple recommendation. He responded by getting all pissed off at me for trying to help but not handing him the information he should already have to do the job he gets paid for.

He's just acting like a arse to everyone who tries to help. AT doesn't need him.

While I agree that the OP in the other thread brought it upon himself, your comment was out of line.

Wow, that guys does seem like a bit of an ass.

In my opinion it would just make more sense to walk away from the thread and not go back. Also, in my unenlightened opinion, I'm not sure this wrrants a vacation of any sort, maybe a lock of the thread though.

I never understand when people create a thread asking for suggestions then rudely shoot down anyone that responds.

Edit: FYI he is not a new member; been around since 2002.

Actually reading that thread I thought if anyone deserves a vacation it is you for posting "you're a complete douchebag". Then when I saw "Out of curiosity, did you get your head out of your rear end" I looked at your account and was going to give you a week off.

You've not acted this stupid before (from what I can tell), so I'll simply say if you post in that tread again it's gonna be a week off.

I don't act stupid unless I'm given a reason, I was mad because I did about 30 minutes of research, looking at SFF cases and C2Q power requirements before suggesting the XQpack2, then he came back and acted like I had personally offended him. Somehow that made me mad. People like him make people like me who want to help stay away from threads where people are honestly asking for advice.

Wow Fraggable...as bsobel said, I think that you deserve a vacation more than p0lar does. He respectfully told you that he didn't want to build a 1U system; it wasn't an insult.

There's never a reason to act stupid. :light:
