New MB, need to change SSD drivers?

Greetings folks. I'm upgrading my Phenom II 955/890Gx to a 3570K IVB with an Asus Z77 motherboard. A Crucial M4 SSD is the boot drive, currently running the AMD ACHI drivers in Win7 Home Premium. With the new motherboard/southbridge combo, I'm assuming the either the microsoft or intel ACHI driver is needed. If I throw the new hardware in and boot up, is Win7 smart enough to switch the driver for me when it scans and finds the new hardware config? Or, do I need to install anything before tearing out the old gear?

Thanks for any tips and I can provide other system specs if needed.
Cheers

You'll need more than just drivers for the SSD. A lot of the motherboard's ports and features need different drivers. Windows might have a panic and crash or not start up. I'd just do a clean install personally. Especially when changing CPU manufacturers.

You'll need to do a complete clean install. Going from AMD to Intel is not usually directly possibloe. The normal result is a BSOD. Everything is different - chipset, drivers, etc. Aside from that, the SSDs should get along fine.

Well....... Worth a try. Go into "Safe Mode, Device Manager" and uninstall everything and shut down. Put in new system, boot up and see what happens.
