New MB and Nvidia card: Which one causing lockup?

I purchased a new Abit mainboard and Leadtek GF2 video card today. I experience system lockups when playing some games--no problem, that's an ongoing issues for us gamers.

But now I experience lockups when installing software. Would this be a MB issue--I don't see how it can be a video card card on Windows desktop?

What motherboard & OS do you have? it seems Abit get more problems with Geforce cards then any other company,btw my own MSI K7T PRO board with Geforce2 MX running 4x AGP mode is rock solid with no lockups,btw I`m also a gamer but have yet to run into any problems gaming wise ( games that won`t run) in over the last 6 years,I guess I`ve been lucky.

Getting back to your problem try Bios tweaks like AGP 2X instead of 4X AGP,fastwrites disabled,all video shadowing disabled,memory timings try slower speed setting,If it`s a Via chipset have you installed the VIa 4 in 1 drivers?
