I also got an email only offering 0% financing or $2500 rebate on Protege or Protege5. Unless I missed something when I opened the email, which is possible. I own a 2002 Protege5 and love it, although I've never come close to 30 mpg. I must be too much of a lead foot. The replacement for the Protege/Protege5 comes out in a month or so - the Mazda 3.

Yeah, I think they come with factory rainbow stickers and flame decals down the side.

It fell short of the Cabrio. Maybe the fact that it's an incredibly capable sports car, even compared to more expensive cars, kept it from the top. If you don't agree, take a look at these results and then drive one. Alas, thread drift... I hear the P5 is a great car - many people @ http://www.miataforum.com have them as their daily drivers.

Protege will be gone for '04 and replaced with the 3, so I guess they are trying to clear them out.
