Obama started taking actions when discovered. Trump comes in and attempts to hide information on these chemicals.
A 2016 revision to the law provided a process by which to assess new chemicals for safety before their widespread distribution. But within a year, the EPA, which was responsible for the evaluation, had a backlog of more than 600 new chemicals awaiting review, until President Donald Trump's then-EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt announced the elimination of the backlog in August 2017. The chemical industry applauded the announcement, while some environmentalists worried the process was shifting to a priority of quickly clearing chemicals for market rather than protecting public health and the environment.

We owe it to our veterans and enlisted to tackle this problem and solve it. The PFAS problem is especially bad anywhere they did aviation firefight training. I give Obama credit for acting, and Trump a big ol FAKAYOU for concealing and obfuscating yet another serious health issue for Americans.

Whenever we can get these assholes out of power I'd be very much for an EPA bestowed with much more power and resources plus made semi-autonomous so that administration change over doesn't actively harm the public.

All those for EPA "deregulation", where do you live? If you live in the USA you should be giving the EPA MORE money and power, not less...otherwise you really will be living in a $hithole.

Smug bitter Jigga: “Well, they voted for this, so fuck Michigan”

Hope for 2020 Jigga: “Dem PACs need to be running ads every fucking day linking Republicans to lower property values and lost jobs in Michigan due to this issue. People vote with their wallets!”

If it doesn't bother Trump and his clan, why should it bother anyone else? Besides, the answer to the problem is to drink filtered bottled water that's probably contaminated with the same chemicals. /s
