New Macbook Air models?

Preface: I'm extremely ignorant about Mac hardware.

Is there a new Macbook Air model on the horizon? My girlfriend is looking to get one and tasked me with researching it for her, so I figured if there is a faster model releasing soon then she should wait and get that. I don't know where to look for Mac info, and my Google-fu is failing me.

Also, anything she should watch out for? Extra features she won't need?
 
Well, I would expect that newer models with SNB and thunderbolt will be released at some point. But I have no idea when. The latest model came out in October of last year I think, and before that the MBA was not on a very regular release schedule.

Depending on what your girlfriend does with her computer, the existing model might be plenty of machine for her. There are a lot of people out there that have replaced their MacBook Pros with MacBook Airs because they are actually pretty fast considering their older hardware. The SSD in there makes a huge difference.
