New Mac Pros -- MacWorld?

Are there any rumors that the Mac Pro line will be updated at MacWorld? I'm looking to get rid of my MacBook Pro for a desktop, could use the extra processing power, but will probably get the current models if the prices drop once new models come out at MacWorld.

If there are rumors, do you think it will be a paper launch?

I was browsing rumor sites for information on the iPhone 2.0, and found several mentions of gun-metal colored MacBooks seen at the usual stress-test sites for Apple. Some think it is an upgrade to the overall MacBook line, others think it is a new model, the rumored "ThinBook."

The latest rumor I've seen is that Apple bought all of the 3.2ghz Penryn stock and will be using it in their latest Mac Pro line. That'd be hot! 😀

If this is true, it'll seal the deal for me. I was about 95% certain that I'll be getting a macbook this spring, but a thin macbook would make that 100%. 🙂

If they add LED and make it a tad thinner and lighter, I think I'll bite too. Although I'd love an ultraportable MBP...

I can't afford a MBP, but if Apple releases a thinbook in the price range of the blackbook I can jump on one of them.

My wife wants my HP DV6000T, so it won't be hard at all to get her to buy in on this plan of mine. 😉

I might consider a Mac Pro to replace this aging desktop. It depends on what configurations they offer...

Thanks everyone, for your feedback.

you know what we really need? new cinema displays that don't cost an arm and a leg.

I solved that problem by getting a Samsung 244T. I just couldn't justify the expense of getting a 24" Apple display.
