new logitech optical mouse making weird noises

I bought the Logitech Desktop Ex110 two days ago from my local hardware shop. The mouse that comes with it is the regular logitech cordless optical mouse that one can get for about 15-20 bucks. Since yesterday, the mouse has been making a weird squeaking sound every time i left click. It wasn't like this when i first used it and i was wondering if this is a sufficent reason to exchange the mouse for another one. Is this normal for this paticular mouse or is my mouse defective?

Sounds like a faulty microswich. You would expect better from Logitech, so return it.
