New Logitech Mouseware (9.75) available!

Wouldn't you know it, the day after I finally downloaded Mouseware 9.73 too 😉

Ah well, at least I have cable. Might as well go download 10MB again...

side mouse buttons are working for me. Top ones don't. Very nice drivers 🙂 All of the kinks seem to be worked out.

First logitech drivers I've installed that didn't require a reboot as well. Very nice.

Bump for late shift 🙂. Btw there`s also new Logitech Keyboard software available as well.

A few weeks after I took back my MX500 cause I couldn't get the buttons working.... DAMMIT!! :| i loved that mouse!!!
i'll have to pick it up again.

Hopefully this'll help my problem in Giants: Citizen Kabuto - occasionally, scrolling the wheel minimizes the game window.

running a mx500 and just fired up UT2k3 and i cant bind the mouseup/mousedn to change weapons...tried all the fixes--new mouseware 9.75, logitech registry fix, and manually closing em_exec.exe--but still doesnt work anyone have a solution to this problem?

sidenote: the wheel does seem to work in half-life, but i havent gotten it to work in nolf2 either

Yeah, me too, I wish they had a drivers only version, devoid of the mouseware utility and all that bloatware :/

ssanches,
you can do a driver install only...follow the instruction in the mouseware readme. you can get the files from the extracted installer in your C:\Documents and Settings\[your profile]\Local Settings\Temp\pft3~tmp folder

but what's the point?...it still wont work in games:

i did a driver install only by coppying the files that were extracted from the installer into a different directory...it was located in the C:\Documents and Settings\[profile]\Local Settings\Temp\pft3~tmp folder...then i just followed the instructions to do a driver install only. once they were installed i still had functionality in all the buttons on my mx500 except for the taskswitch/quickswitch button and the cruise control buttons are very slow and scroll according to the number of lines you have choose in TweakUI. despite having only the drivers installed, the scroll wheel in games is still not recognized !!

so then i proceeded to install the MS intellipoint software (v4.1). however when that was installed, the logitech drivers on it were removed and it had MS drivers. the mousewheel does work with the MS software in games, but the cruise conrol buttons are also mapped as mouse up/down. in addition the taskswitch button does not work. so i tried to install the logitech drivers on top of the MS drivers and intellipoint software, but then the intellipoint software is no longer there in the control panel of the mouse.

so in conlusion, there is no point in doing a driver install only if you're trying to make your logitech mouse work in games...and installing MS intellipoint software after doing a driver install only (for the logitech) will just overwrite the logitech drivers...i'm using Intellipoint right now since it works in games, but is there any hope in getting mouseware to work in games??

I was talking a drivers only version available for download, not for installing... u know where I can get one if they exist? Downloading 10MB everytime a new driver version is released is a PIA

Problem with these: Sometimes the cursor speed will drop a few notches, but the curious thing, it will only do so in the active window. If I restore the window so that it doesn't cover the whole screen, the cursor slows only in that window. It happens in IE (the main place I use the mouse other than games, which aren't really windows; more full screen. It's a Logitech Dual Optical. Is it a screwup here, or did Logitech mess up something else in their software? Maybe they should just rewrite it from scratch.

The Orientation tab in the mouse properties is gone. Back to the old drivers for me.

I never once used that thing... what the hell is it for?
I need to get my MX500 back so I can get rid of the crappy Explorer 3.0...

If you hold the mouse at a wierd angle or something, you can set the orientation of the mouse around the natural movement of your wrist.

I've got a wireless/optical Logitech, and my idea of "perfect horizontal cursor movement" is different than the mouse's, so I reset the orientation based on what I thought was comfortable.
