interesting, it's pretty pricey for 80bucks msrp. That folding backlit lcd seems a bit excessive, and i'm sure is so neccesary since most fp's dont have HUD's.. oh wait.. they do ;) Maybe in reality it's a lot more useful but just looking at it i'm kinda like "ermm.. hrmm..."

i'll definatley be looking out for it.

Logitech is really trying to cater to gamers with this new G series of products, first the G5 and G7 mouse now this.

I think those lcd are smart idea because it decreases screen clutter while playing fps, also i dig the back lit key.

Maybe I am wrong but I just do not get it.

What is the point of the lcd? All that information is displayed onscreen on your hud. How many gamers actually look down at their keyboard during play? I certainly do not.

Seems like a worthless idea.

like i said, atm on paper it does seem very useless and excessive but like i said : maybe in actuality it'll prove useful.

I wonder if the LCD will have a purpose beyond just FPS gamers. Personally i'm big on natural keyboards so i'll stick with my MS Natural Multimedia but those programable keys look tempting. Though i could just buy a seperate thing to do that i guess.

One useful thing for the backlit display will be for listening to music. It will be nice to be able to show mp3 tag info without having to pull up Winamp.

i honestly would tear out the lcd. it'd just annoy me. all the info it would display is just as easly displayed on the main screen without having to look down at your keyboard. as for the programmable keys on the left of the wasd keys.... bah! moving your hand that far away from the movement keys would only cause more problems

the lcd screen seems pretty pointless to me...well, it could be useful if it's actually compatible with most programs...if it could be programed to do other stuff that might be useful.

I think I remember reading that you can program it. So if you wanted to show mp3 info while listening to music, that was possible.

don't you guys understand the REAL purpose of the LCD? Is not for your game hud.... is for thing such as computer TEMERATURES. Having the LCD on your Keyboard will allow you to check your temps while running game 3dmark, etc etc...

Yeah apparently you all are missing the point. Yes, they show things like FPS info on the screen, but that isn't the realy beauty of the device. The neat thing is that it come with a Dev Kit that will allow you to essentially do anything you want it too. MP3's, AIM conversations, email notifications, what ever the hell you like. THAT is why it is neat. If I just wanted a backlit keyboard I would buy an eclipse, which I have.

If this thing was wireless, I'd be all over it like white on rice. Of course, the LCD couldn't be backlt then. :(

Looks kind of cool, but I don't think it will replace my Saitek Gamer Keyboard. I like the simplicity of the Saitek, I hate keyboards with so many extra buttons, which is why I bought the Saitek. I might give the G15 a look if it gets good reviews, which it probably will.

I'd buy the logitech but only If they offered a PS/2 version since I cannot access my bios with a USB Keyboard. I have an older Microsoft Keyboard (sitting in the closet) that has both USB and PS/2 both can be pluged in to the PC at the same time and by default it acts as a PS/2 board with special funtions using the usb (in this case the screen would use the usb)

Very similar to this keyboard

Yeah, I had one of those for a while, but I took it back, I guess it was just that my hands are too big for it. *shrugs* or maybe it was too small for it, don't remember, just remember it didn't fit my hand right and I had to keep repositioning my palm to reach the keys I wanted.

To much $$$ for a keyboard if you ask me. All I need to be able to do with my kb is to type and for it to feel confortable. My $10 zero tilt Logitech kb has been working just fine. Now if they come up with some sort of brain inplant that would allow me to get rid off my kb, then I would be all over it.

I heard more people have that problem with n50 but not the n52. Wow. Goes to show you that one controller doesnt work for everyone.

The only complaint about my n52 was how long it took to break in the keys. They start off a little too stiff.
