New Logitech G9x - scroll wheel loose and does not click?

Hey guys, I have a new G9x I just received from Newegg. The scroll wheel feels loose side to side it wiggles a lot, and it does not click. I haven't even plugged it in yet, I just noticed this when I took it out of the box.

Also, there are visible lines on the feet as if it has been used before.

The G9x has a tilt-wheel, and it is difficult to click, while easy to tilt. By default, it is a bit loose, and has no catches. To change that, you need to use the switch on the bottom. Either way, it's loose enough side to side that you can see and hear it jiggle if you tap the side of the mouse.

The wheel really sucks, for gaming. Price isn't the only reason it's absent from many other mice of theirs. They would have a nerd riot on their hands if they added such an abomination to the G400, FI 🙂.

you do realize that the mouse wheel on g9x has two buttons activated by tilting the mouse wheel left or right. The looseness you are describing is intentional since those are extra buttons. /sigh

I dunno how to be civil about this. The mouse clearly has a button on the bottom labeled microgear which switches between normal scroll wheel feel and a loose flywheel mode, and also clearly has 2 extra buttons activated by tilting the scroll wheel left or right. You basically bought this product and without even using it are returning it based on your lack of knowledge; this despite being told by 2 people about these features of the mouse.

Either you are advertising this zowie mouse for personal gain or you are just completely dumb.

Neither mode feels good or "normal" to me.

Loose feeling tilty scroll wheel = feels cheap in my opinion.

I'm returning it based on I think it feels cheap...

Jeez, I came in thinking I'd offer help - based on your last quotes I vote for the phrase you yourself put in bold.
