new Lite on 52x CDRW + Nero = HELP ME

Ok so I just got the new Lite on 52x CDRW drive from Officemax for $50 one problem, I installed the version of Nero that came with it, I think it was like 5.5.9.13 or something, anyhow the problem is that now I cannot burn bin and cue files, I have made 5 coasters so far, it gets about halfway or so and has a write error. I thought maybe it was the version so I took it off and reinstalled 5.5.8.2 and that version won't detect my CDRW drive, I am getting a bit frustrated so if anyone knows either how to get nero to detect my drive or fix the problem with the write errors I would greatly appreciate it, thanks

What kind of media were you using? Here is a good site for CDR check the forums



May I suggest CDRWIN for those cue/bin files? Or Fireburner. Doubt very seriosely you will be able to burn over 40x unless you have some quality 48x media. Also you should try a few test burns at lower speeds, check your jumpers on drive, enable DMA in OS and in BIOS.

You can click burn image, but I wouldn't use Nero for bin/cue files anyway. Use CDR-WIN

yeah, yeah I use it to burn images of cd's I have of course, ya know to have backup in case I ever lose or damage them. Anyways, I am using the same media I used to use, mainly memorex and imitation, I have got it working but I have to first burn the image to the Nero image drive and then burn it onto the cd, which is a pain, not sure what the problem is, but when I try just burning the image like I used to it always fails about half way through. I tried using CDR-WIN, one version wouldn't detect my CDRW drive and the other I couldn't figure out how to open image files, the directory only let me open folders and I didn't see an option for file types to open

Did you try updating the firmware? I had the same problem with mine, and that fixed it.

i don't burn anything in bin/cue. ISO. CCD.
