Linksys has posted v1.36 on their website. Here is a listing of the changes:

1.36 Updated help file
Enables PPTP, and IPSec by default

Not much of an upgrade, but might as well stay current ;)

I used to have a connection dropping problem, but the 1.35 firmware fixed it. It would happen when I started multiple ftp downloads or loaded web pages with lots of large images. Now I only have the occasional problem with the router crashing and not responding, which has only happened twice, I think. What ISP do you use?

I think I've upgraded every firmware that has come out and the problem is still there.

Actually, I think the only firmware version that didn't have that problem was the one that came with the router but I needed ip forwarding.

Basically, this router (BEFSR41) is suk.

I had one that kept losing the isp setting. Then one day it just crashed totally. Exchanged that for another at the B&M. The new one won't find the isp at all -- help says to keep recycling modem and router until isp is found. Yeah sure, that's all I have to do.

I'm using Road Runner in Tampabay area, but it's the router that's no good.

Firmware was 1.30 out of the box. I upgraded to 1.36. No help.
