Linkin Park is a breath of fresh air in the music scene. They are one of those rare groups that is actually innovative. They break the mould of the typical rock band. They blend my two favorite genres together and are very talented, so naturally I'm a big fan. I haven't seen the video, but the song is pretty decent.

It looks like the animation was done by the same animators that did the animated scenes in Kill Bill: Volume 1.

Anime News Network article

That is correct, the animation in the Breaking the Habit music video was done by the same people that did the anime in Kill Bill: Volume 1.

Hopefully, as you mature, you'll understand that music is completely subjective.

Btw... What bands would you describe as innovative?

Aphex twin

so many LP haters.. sigh. 🙁 Add me to the few who like the video, it's awesome.. and yes.. the anime style does resemble Kill Bill's because it was done by the same production team. On a side note, theyre in South East Asia.. touring (Projekt Revolution). 😎

I like LP but havn't seen the video yet since I don't watch MTV....ever.

Oh yea, Metallica was all angst also.

Hell, I find 'All American Rejects' to be the most innovate current semi-mainstream act. I guess innovation isn't necessarily the word as much as different and retro. It's great how they'll have a normal current day sound going and then throw in a 15 second throwback to 70's/80's rock guitar solos. Plus it seems as if any instrument known to man is kept at their disposal.

If you haven't listened to them at all you might want to check it out. Granted, it seems as if most internet regulars like extremely heavy stuff or electronica/techno type music so this will probably be laughed at. 😛

BTW, whatever happened to Aphex Twin/Richard James? Has anything come out since the double disc of a couple of years ago?
