Whitling:

Bwuahahahaha!!! Oh, sheezh, I know what you mean.

But, I do love Lieberman. Except for the war and a couple of small issues he isn't too far off the mark. Of course, he's wandering in the desert on the war.... :) He also has no chance because he's seen by many voters as part of the old Gore/Lieberman fight that LOST, principally because GORE is stiffer than Strom Thurmond.

So what'll it take for you to vote for someone with Ideas instead of those that only have "not what that guy is doing" stances?

You know, Cad. My real desire is to see Koucinich (spelling?) elected. Now there are ideas. As for Bush and the Neos,

New World Order = Same Old Stuff

Lieberman: "I wouldn't repeal Bush tax cuts. I think invading Iraq was the right thing to do. Don't vote for Dean just because his platform reflects your values. Vote for me because I'm a conservative, Jewish Democratic version of George W. Bush."

I'm sure that Lieberman is a great guy, and I am sure he'd be a better President than Dubbya, but doesn't he know that a decent amount of Americans would rather vote for a female black than a Jew?

I'm not saying it's right, just likely. There's still a lot of anti-semitism out there, espescially in the Democrat critical south.

I don't think it is anti-Semitism per say, I don't think a lot of people are comfortable with the fact of having their country represented by a person who is a staunch member of a community that represents less than 3% of the nation's population. I would feel the same way regarless of the religion in question. That and Leiberman is way too socially conservative to really appeal to anyone except Republicans.

Vote for me because I'm a conservative, Jewish Democratic version of George W. Bush
Actually, he's an Orthodox Jewish Democratic version, but I know what you mean.:p

Personally I find him just as bad as W at least in imposing his values/beliefs on others. The Anti-Defamation League came out against him as well as W in the 2000 election, so at least they're not playing favorites.

Joe seems to be a very decent guy. Grounded, sane and mature. Dean is trying to hard and remains pretty far out left. Time, as always, will tell.

I speak for myself in saying that the reason I would never endorse Lieberman is due to the fact that he embraces everything I ideologically stand against currently. What our government has done is balled up all the frustration, anger, and self-serving, spitefull pursuits from the last eight years and unleashed it in one hellacious presidential term. The last three years have been nothing but destructive, all-out politics that has adversely affected the lives of millions on every reach of the planet and for Lieberman to condone such a thing is reprehensible. I say send his a$$ packing with that racist hillbilly Zel Miller.

He ain't charismatic! He or anyone who can woo the voter can win the election. We tend to believe what folks say if they please our senses. Lincoln would not have been elected today... Like Kennedy/Nixon.. Nixon clearly won the debates but lost the charismatic debate.
Liberman nor Kucinich can win. Kerry, Dean and Clark can... if they stop irritating the voter. They seem to alienate someone all the time. They need to increase their support base not polarize it into some glob of anti Bush jelly ball..

AND BUSH IS? the man can't speak his native language properly. he's the least smoothest SOB in the world. I believe there are more people around the world that hate bush than there are that hate saddam. Bush not only lacks charisma...but carries himself in such a manner that certain people adamantly hate the man for.

Well, the folks on the right are more ideologically orientated. They'd run who ever they think won't lose too many of the mid-roaders. There is also the 'carry the torch', the Agenda of the Right and who best fits that bill. For the Right, one don't have to look or talk good, just be good and compliant. This is why the Left can interupt the eight year run of Mr. Bush. Some of the Left and lots or the middle would vote for a charismatic Right ... Reagan comes to mind. Not only vote for him but many will overlook his antics and proclaim him the best of the best.
Did you ever notice the movies that the Right view? The Left go to certain movies based on Who is in them and the Right based on What it is about. (This was in some demographic analysis awhile back - I don't vouch for its accuracy but, it seems plausable)

Edit: I should add; all other things being equal... :)
