Ummm yeah, that was the first thing that came to my mind when I saw it. "Innovative design" - um, Antec already did it....

Antec already did what?

Lian Li was the first to market with a compartmentalized case, if that's what you mean.

Otherwise they are like oranges to apples. They aren't even aimed at the same niche of the case market.

OK, but I meant the way the whole case is in general. Antec took the compartmentalized idea and made their own layout from it.
Front of the P180
Front of the PC-A10

Inside of the P180
Inside of the PC-A10

Notice the similarities? Antec made that particular compartmentalized setup first. That is all I was saying.

Actually if you ask me the P180 is a little nicer. No airflow-killing sidesaddle HD racks, Front case fan in the above chamber. Yeah the lian li is aluminum but ok.

I guess my biggest beef with lian li is the general lack of 120mm fans. So many of them just have crappy 80mm fan holes. New PC-B20A at performance-PCs for example, look at this pic of the back - why an 80mm fan? There is plenty of room for a 120mm. I just don't get it. Sure you can make it a 120mm fan hole but there are many people who aren't good at stuff like that.

Honestly I can think of many nice cases that I can spend less money on and get similar stuff ;) I don't like the looks of the fronts of many of them anyway, too plain. A little more styling would be good (not much, just some).

All personal preference really. Enjoy your lian li, I'll enjoy the case I get (currently have a cheapo case atm). I just think lian li is overrated :)

I would call them tasteful. A very rare thing in the PC case market. That being said, I find the P180 to be quite tasteful in appearance as well, but lacking in quality.

Again, overrated compared to what?

I sold my P180 on the FS/T forums and bought a LL PC-7B Plus II (2x120mm fans) on Newegg for $89. I found the construction particularly in the plastic of the P180 to be sorely lacking. There was/is a recall on the doors warping.

I've never had that problem with a Lian Li (owned three so far) or my Praetorian. Very well constructed.

Overrated compared to other companies. Sure the P180 had its flaws, OK but there are other cases that look good that don't have such flaws. You just said yourself the Praetorian is well-built, and that is cooler master. They make some good stuff too :)

Just my opinion, you aren't gonna convince me otherwise, and I probably won't convince you otherwise ;)

Well no I'm not that kind of stubborn fanboy - I'm open to suggestion but that's the thing - no one is making one.

It would be one thing if someone said "the A10 is overrated, for the same money I can buy a Stacker 830 with better build quality and better cooling" but they are just saying "LL is overrated" or "LL is overpriced for simple products" and leaving it at that. Kind of assanine and pointless.

I would be in for one if it wasn't for the door. I have a p180 now which I don't care for but the one thing do I appreciate is being able to push the door all the way so that I can keep it open whenever I want to use my headphones (with the audigy front audio box)

people comparing this to the p180... what sad times are these... :(

Great looking case (as you can tell from my sig, I'm partial to these sorts of cases :p), with what appears to be everything you would want from a case, even the beloved removeable motherboard tray.

Now where is the lian li with the mesh front grill, no door, 3x120mm in front, and no 5.25" bays (all 3.5" bays) for insane hard drive storage/cooling? That massive lian li cube case is the only thing that comes close. THAT is the case I need ;)

Way too expensive for me to spend on a case. I have better things to spend that kind of money on :p Besides, the PC70 Plus looks better IMO.
