Is there a MB that will support the newer P4 lga processors and have DDR1 and AGP slots. I wanted to keep my ram and video card since there is not any $/performance difference b/w DDR/AGP and DDR2/PCIE

There are quite a few mobos with DDR1 and/or AGP; just search on Newegg for them. Don't get one that has both a PCIe graphics slot and an AGP slot, as the AGP port on that one is run off the PCI bus and will cripple performance.

I have the intel retail edge pack (P4 550 3.4ghz lga CPU and 915pgl Mobo) that i want to build a system around. I am using p4 2.5ghz w/ abit it7-max v2 with 1ghz ram and TI4200 (bought as a temporary upgrade to wait out ati's transition from pro to xt on AGP platform). I am always 6 months to a year behind on the latest tech gear. I scavange off upgrades from the bleeding EDGERs who need have the newest gear at each new product launch. I figure have them take the brunt of the depricection.

I want to stick with AGP since 1st Gen PCI-e has no speed/$ advantage over AGP.

I have invested heavily on RAM (1 gb DDR) and i am not a heavy gamer. I do like to OC to the limit (thats why i prefer ABITs).

The mobos that i looked at newegg have agp but take dual channel memory which my kingston valueram (pc2700) may not support.

It's always advisable to use the fastest memory you can in dual channel with a P4, since they're very heavily dependent on memory bandwidth for performance.

Look at the Albatron Intel motherboards, they have what you are looking for, 775 cpu socket, ddr1, and agp.
Go to newegg to see the several models and order from whoever you want.
