What do you guys think? As I pointed out in the article, I'm kinda skeptical of the layout & design that went into it. I'm not so worried about quality. That and who buys a machine with 256MB RAM today? DDR2 prices may be high due to shortage right now, but if Lenovo wants to really get some attention in the value segment 512MB standard would be nice.

Why does that picture remind me of those low-end Dells?

It looks exactly like the B130. I should know, I owned a B120 for about a week. Glad I got rid of it.

Thought the same thing myself.

Styling is ok, but looks kind of cheap and plasticy. Oh well, can't really expect anything better for $600. And yes, that HP does look better ;)

I must admit, I've always liked the look of those low end Dells. Looks very clean. I like this one too.

First non-thinkbranded laptop? Lenovno has been making laptops for years. Maybe the first non-thinkbranded laptop in the states.

Hard to see anything here that warants even a second look. After not screwing up the thinkpad line for a year they folow up with an inspiron/hp presario equivalent. More interesting would been a lenovno designed continuation of the thinkpad line, but I guess that will have to wait a few more years.....
