Looks like some sexy new models of 19" LCDs are coming out.

Here are just a few of them:
TN 2ms Viewsonic VX922
TN 3ms 700:1 Hyundai Q90U (a successor to my L90D+ apparently)
SPVA 6ms Samsung 970P

I've been using a nearly 4 year old planar for a while now and it's definitely time for an upgrade.

I wonder if the lower refresh rates will be a noticeable improvement? I'm a little dissapointed that the contrast ratios don't seem to have improved. What do you all think?

I think they are plenty fast enough its about time the prices started dropping and sizes increasing and getting cheaper also. But I guess demand is still too high.

I doubt that prices are going to drop a lot. 14" VGA CRTs were ~$300 for a long time before they dropped in price.

Probably just panicking and selling as many LCDs to suckers as they can a few months before SED monitors totally pwns LCD technology.

I didn't know there were any release dates for SEDs yet...
