New LCD...new Video Card?

I just ordered a Dell 2005FPW. I'm wanting to play HL2/CS:S/D3 on the LCD at full resolution...will I be able to do that with a new 6800GT? Currently I have a 9800 PRO which has been running well...with a few hiccups...especially in games like D3.

My other system specs are:

A64 3200+
1GB PC3200
Audigy 2

Should I just wait for the next generation of cards and make due...or should I spend the $300 on something like a 6800GT.

A 6800gt would be a nice upgrade, it will let you play games at native resolution with decent fps.

Your 9800 Pro should be able to play it fairly well with no AA or AF

As yet another thread has just shown right here, you do NOT want an NVidia based card for a high-resolution DVI display. At least not when the card is using the main chip's integrated DVI output.

Do you have a thread link? I'm not familiar with this thread.
