New LCD Monitor

Hey guys,

I'm looking into getting a new LCD monitor. I want to spend around $200, want it to have DVI, and of course want it to be good quality. I've been researching monitors on the Egg for the past couple of days, and have narrowed down my choices down to only 4 monitors. I wanted to get a Sony LCD, but i went to their website and they don't have any information about LCDs, so i'm guessing they stopped making them. So then i wanted to get a Dell, but they're kinda expensive and then one i wanted had like a 4-5 week ship time.

So below are my choices. Please let me know if you have any other suggestions or if any of the monitors below are any good.

1. ViewSonic OptiQuest Q20WB 20" 199.99
2. Acer AL2016WBbd 20" 189.99
3. Samsung 906BW 19" 209.99 (189.99 after rebate)
4. Samsung 941BW 19" 189.99

PS. I'm really leaning towards one of the two Samsung monitors. They're pretty much exactly the same, except that the 906BW has more display colors and a much higher contrast ratio.

forget 19" quite honestly...at that price and from what you picked from, i would go with the 20" cause it gives you 1600x1200 as opposed to 1280x1024.

you could go with a 20"/22" widescreen...

If you can, pony up the extra $50 and get the Acer AL2051W. This panel is extraordinary for its price. It's a true 8-bit P-MVA panel that has great colors and very little ghosting (none that I can see) in games. At 239.99 it's a steal as it produces an image that is leagues above any TN panel out there for the same price.
