New LCD monitor, pre-ghost?

Just got an Acer AL1916w monitor and I like it very much, but for some reason I seem to have a pre-ghost issue. That is, there is a slight image BEFORE the text on any number of web pages. For example when typing this just before the blinking black cursor there is a faint but noticeable white/light image of the |.

I don't know if this is a function of the monitor or my old Matrox Millennium G200 which I applied a hack to to get it to display 1440 x 900. At some point I'll get a new vid card but I'm trying to decide if i want to keep the monitor or exchange it.

Thanks,
Matt

Good idea. I'll have to check and see if any of my other systems support 1140x900.

I'm guessing you're using a VGA output on that G200, which is the likely cause of this. Get a cheap card with DVI and it will probably go away.
