New lcd affecting 3dmark score?

Just reformatted and installed all my original driver after getting a new raptor for my OS, i noticed my 3dmark 06 score was 200 points less. The overclock was the same as well as many other settings but one that thing has changed since last test was my new 20inch lcd.

Even though the free test says the resolution is 1280x1024, does the fact that my screen is running at 1680x1024 have an effect on the the score/program?

WRONG.

No.
As long as the test is being run at 1280x1024 (or w/e the default is) then it should not affect the test results at all. Scaling is done in the monitor.

Not always true ... not all LCD moniters do scaling & in these cases its handled by the video driver, although this shouldn't have any effect on benchmark results.

Also I'd think that if V-sync was enabled it could in fact cause some framerates to be limited to 60 or 75hz which could potentially lower 3D mark scores.
