Launch delayed to Sunday 10/16

After the launch explosion last summer Orbital ATK is getting back into the launching business, hopefully.

Orbital will launch their Antares rocket fitted with new engines. Launch is set for October 16 at 8:51 p.m. EDT from the Mid Atlantic Space Port Should be able to watch the launch on NASA TV.

Its cool to have a "space port" in the area allowing more folks to be able to go and see big rocket launches. Hopefully it gets used more often.

This map shows the regions of visibility for Orbital ATK's Antares rocket nighttime launch scheduled for 8:51 p.m. EDT on Sunday, Oct. 16, 2016 from Wallops Island, Virginia. The launch may be visible from a wide region of the U.S. East Coast. Color bands denote the time after launch (in seconds) the rocket's plume may be visible.

*added new map, launch delayed

Also on NASAtv if you want to catch it on the tube, about 16 min to go.

Had a good view of it up till 1st stage blowout. Was far enough away that I went in, probably wouldn't have seen 2nd stage light off anyway.
