The Engineering Department at Virginia Tech required a Tablet PC so we got one back in my Freshman year. I don't see myself ever using it in Computer Science, so I am upgrading to a new regular laptop.
Right now I am looking at the 14.1" Lenovo Thinkpad T Series.
I just wanted to see if anyone else had anything better. From what I can see, these are widely regarded as the most versatile/best laptops on the market.
Next, Lenovo says there is a way to get no OS installed on the HDD. I can't, for the life of me, find that option. Right now I have Vista Home Basic being preinstalled for the sheer fact that I can't find anything cheaper. Can anyone tell me what in the world I have to select to get nothing on the HDD (Probably going to install Ubuntu 7.10 or XP-- haven't decided which yet)
Also is there anything out of the ordinary that I should definitely equip on the machine. I have my specs picked out, but I'm making sure there isn't something out there that I didn't think of.
