Doing some Gaming, right now only game is Mechwarrior Online, I also run Solidworks doing simulations (CFD,FEA), Anysys..etc

I will be swapping my 128gb Plextor M3 SSD into this laptop.

Shortly after reciving I will be upgrading the Ram to - 16GB DDR3 1600



I think its a pretty decent deal, The ATI 7970m does have some issues but its driver related and it should be fixed shortly, so it should be a steal at its current price, the Anantech Article is promissing but it is still not out yet.

Looks good, i have been looking a a similair build and and a MSI GX60 (A10+7970) teh GX60 is $1200 vis the 1600... but that is amd vs intel pricing. The 7970 is a beast of a card, will trade blows with the 680M while being cooler and using less power.

Yeah, but how does that CPU perform in CPU intensive games like Battlefield 3 multiplayer? That has got to bottleneck it, but if not, I'm sold.

Also, 12.11 affects the 7970m, yes?
