My laptop is a Dell Studio with the following specs:
2.5GHz Core 2 Duo 6MB Cache
4GB DDR2 667MHz RAM
ATI Radeon 3450m
80GB 5400RPM Hard Drive
Standard 6 cell battery(Holds under 2 hours of charge)
Compared to my desktop, my laptop is horribly slow and that's understandable as its an SSD vs a 5400RPM HDD. Is it worth putting an SSD in it and buying a new battery or should I look at something newer. My main complaint with the laptop is that it's pretty heavy and very slow(but I think an SSD upgrade would help). I use it for web surfing and office tasks. Should I look into an Ultrabook or should I just keep what I have and make a couple cheap upgrades? It's still under warranty and is in mint condition except for the hard drive which is temporary(hence the small size).
edit: I forgot to mention that I'm planning to buy a 240GB SSD for my desktop and move the 64GB SSD in my sig to my laptop.
