Hello,
I just bought a new toshiba satellite m35-s320

It is great with all top of the line equipment, i have connected to my network using our cat/6 cable and our wireless network.

The problem is i need to know how to connect to other networks like a neighbors wireless router.
The machine comes with a "wizard" for connecting to wireless networks, but is no help and is partically confusing the software is callled ConfigFree.

Is there another kind of software that u would recomend using? Could down i download this or buy this software.

I am no computer dummy but i need something that will work and i need someone to help explain how to connect to other networks.

Thank You

I would greatly appricitate any replies and support for my problem asap.

Please E-mail me with any tidbit of information you can provide at :william@mahoneysoftware.com

Thanks Again,

Wamahone

You do realize this is technically illegal, right?

Depending on the company yes... But most over look it as there is no real way for them to trace it other than commin out and payin a Tier 3 tech to catch the packets and sniff them. But anyways... XP should allow you to do this automaticly as long as the WAP is set up to allow it. You would have to check with your neighbor to c if this is true. Also if he has WEP set up you can kiss it good bye if he won't tell you what the key is. I ran in to this problem when my netowrk at the house went down for a week borrowed a lappy and went WAP fishin. Found one that works great and it is connected automaticly. You can download a signal finder like the one from Boingo i think. Works the same as the linksys util i have.
