new laptop- cant connect to the wireless network

Hi. I am just wandering, what are some reasons that a brand new laptop won't connect to a local wireless network? Our other laptops connect fine without problems and this is a new ee pc.

It detects the network, but cannot connect to it.

Any ideas? It has Windows XP Home and our network doesnt have any security set up so that shouldnt be creating problems.
