Saw the BB flyer this morning and there are 2 new models by a company I have never heard of. The company is Medion and the 2 laptops have a $150 instant rebate on the price listed on the website. Anyone familiar with the company? Its a German company that just launched it laptops in the US.

Link to the company.

Medion has always been BBY's "house" brand. Haven't heard much regarding quality.
Interesting that the 12.1" model uses SOnoma while the 14.1" doesn't 😉

Really? I have never heard of them making laptops and I used to work there last year.

Yea, I missed the different bus speeds, I wonder why they are using 2 different chipsets. Wouldn't they get more battery life out of the older chipset?

appears to be a discount brand,
they were selling at aldi's the no frills grocery store.
for thier price they seem to be decent.
haven't hear any horor stories.

I got one of their desktops at Aldi when they had P4's for like 500 bucks a couple years ago. That thing was amazing. FElt like atleast a $1500 computer.

Hi,

Medion are a German company who also sell through the brand name Cybermaxx over here in the U.K. They sell through Aldi, Lidl, ToysRUs, possibly also through Stapes/OfficeWorld. Think their kit is up to scratch so to speak, often aggressively priced. Technical Support a little bit lagging imho but the medionusa.com web-site appears to be quite good for downloads etc.. (once again imho).

No doubt even more aggressively priced in the U.S. than over here in the U.K. :-(.

Best Regards.
